Meet Jamaine Coleman: a living testament to the power of resilience and determination. From his modest beginnings as a young athlete in the United Kingdom to his current role as the Territory Sales Director for the MidSouth region at HealthTrackRx, Jamaine’s journey is a beacon of inspiration, showcasing the transformative power of embracing change and seizing opportunities.

One of seven children, initially he was drawn to the United Kingdom’s most dominant sport, football.  By pure chance, he was introduced to the sport of long-distance running, where he claimed multiple junior National Championships in his country and earned a scholarship to Eastern Kentucky University.  When he came to the United States, where there was a complete change in culture to overcome, he struggled at first. When faced with the risk of losing his scholarship and leaving the U.S., he found the motivation he needed. In his words, he was immature, and it was time to grow up; he had four months to put his head down and start over.  He had to take many more classes to catch up and graduate, but he did. He also returned athletically to have the second-fastest time in the NCAA and earned the runner-up in the steeplechase event at the National Championships.  His performance on the track allowed him to become a sponsored athlete for Adidas and the funding to continue to pursue running as a professional athlete.

While chasing his athletic dreams, Jamaine found a way into sales, selling solar solutions to consumers door to door.  Searching for meaning and a way to help others, he eventually found HealthTrackRx and moved cross-country to Colorado for a Territory Service Specialist role there.  Not long after, Jamaine was offered a promotion to move cross-country again, back to Virginia, all while still performing at a world-caliber level as a sponsored athlete.  Not long after, Jamaine decided it was time to make an even more difficult decision and walk away from running to pursue new goals at HealthTrackRx.

His decision to forgo the opportunity to compete at the highest levels in track and field, potentially becoming an Olympic athlete in France in 2024, is a testament to his commitment to HealthTrackRx’s values and mission. “I want to help people, I want to love what I do, and be proud of how I make my living. HealthTrackRx practices what we preach, we truly are Getting People Healthier Faster. Our testing has changed how providers treat people, they stand by it, and it’s so much better. If I can help stop someone from suffering or taking antibiotics unnecessarily, that makes my day,” says Jamaine.

Jamaine’s dedication to his family and his commitment to personal growth drive him forward each day. Outside of work, Jamaine enjoys running and golf, which reflects his competitive spirit and drive for excellence. Through it all, Jamaine’s story reminds us that success is a journey marked by perseverance and adaptability.
